NATIONAL EVENTS:
To ensure our members can attend our AGM, our Annual Meetings alternate between London and Birmingham.
Our 2025 AGM will be held in London on Saturday 5th April 2025. Meeting Schedule: Doors open at 10.00am for buying and selling. Speaker (Jane Perry) at 11.45-12.15pm. Business meeting at 12:30pm then back to buying and selling. Close by 4:00pm.
CHANGE OF VENUE - The AGM is no longer being held at YMCA KX, 120 Cromer Street. The new venue is London Meeting Rooms (LMR) ‘Albany Room’ at St Giles International, 154 Southampton Row, London, WC1B 5JX. The frontage and entrance of the St. Giles building is shown below:
The nearest tube station is Russell Square (5 mins walk), on the Piccadilly line. Euston (15 mins) and Kings Cross (20 mins) railway/tube stations are both within walking distance.
Access - There will be a sign at or near the doors indicating the reception desk. Please ask the LMR receptionist to direct you to the Albany Room for the BBS meeting. They will ask you to sign their register (entry record) and will then direct you to the Albany Room. The room number for the Albany Room is Room 104/105 on the first floor. It will help to avoid over-crowding and obstacles in the room if members can please avoid bringing large or heavy luggage to the meeting - thank you.
Food & Drink - The kitchen is closed on the weekend so please bring your own food and drink to the meeting. There are rubbish bins in the room and we have paid a cleaning fee. There is a water fountain in the room which is free to use.
Jane Perry has kindly agreed to be our speaker for the 2025 AGM. To co-ordinate with the planned 'Enamels' exhibition table, Jane will base her talk on 'Enamels and Niello Peasant Silver buttons’ from around the world. Jane will bring examples to share with us. There will be time for questions so please bring your own special enamels to share and discuss.
